PHELAN IN AN UPPER CUT

FAREWELL MISS THREE STARS
There will be a little bit of emotion from Sam Wynne when she dismounts Miss Three Stars for the last time today after the Winter Classic. There was no fairytale win to retire on, but what a horse she has been for her connections.
The 8 year old mare by Perfectly Ready has retired with 11 wins to her credit - and just over $300,000 in stake money.
Remarkably Sam Wynne was aboard on 10 of those wins, "she was super tough, a really special horse to me" explained Sam.
The winner of the 2016 Winter Cup, Miss Three Stars was a cup specialist, collecting the Amberley, Oamaru and 2 Riverton Cups in her career.
